Mount Machhapuchhre Oil Painting
Oil painting is the practice of using pigments and a drying oil medium as a binder. For several centuries, it has been the most popular method for artistic painting on canvas or wood panels, spreading from Europe to the rest of the world. Oil offers “greater flexibility, richer, and denser color, the use of layers, and a wider range from light to dark” when painting pictures. However, the process takes longer because one layer of paint must dry before another is applied.
